Employment History

I joined the University of Pittsburgh economics department as a Full Professor in 2015. Previously I was an Associate Professor at University of Oxford economics department, as well as Tutorial Fellow for St. Catherine's College, Oxford. I have also held Associate (with tenure) and Assistant Professor positions at Swarthmore College, and Senior Research Associate and Research Associate positions at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), Bonn. I have been a visitor at various institutions including the Institute on Behavior and Inequality (briq), Wharton School of Business, Perlman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania, University of Zurich, and University of Pittsburgh. I am also an Associate Member of Nuffield College, Oxford. 

Education

My Ph.D. in economics is from the University of California, Berkeley, completed in 2003. I hold a Bachelor of the Arts degree with High Honors in Economics from Oberlin College.
